13 Sep Parresia Welcomes Victor Ehikhamenor
Parresia Publishers Ltd is pleased to officially welcome Victor Ehikhamenor to its Parresia imprint. A sign-on ceremony was held on the 27th August 2012 at Debonair Bookshop in Yaba, Lagos. He becomes the third writer to be signed by our traditional publishing Parresia imprint, joining Abubakar Adam Ibrahim (The Whispering Trees) and Emmanuel Iduma (Farad).
We will be publishing his creative non-fiction, which will include both text and pictures, in November 2012.
Victor Ehikhamenor is an award winning visual artist, writer and photographer. His short story, ‘The Supreme Command’, won the Association of Commonwealth Broadcasters Award in 2003. The former Creative Director of NEXT Newspaper has held numerous solo art exhibitions around the world and his art and photographs have been used as book covers by award-winning authors including Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Helon Habila, Unoma Azuah and Toni Kan. His poetry collection, ‘Sordid Rituals’ was published in 2002.
Present at the signing ceremony were Parresia’s Managing Editor, Azafi Omoluabi-Ogosi; the Chief Operating Officer, Richard Ali; and two witnesses, Olufemi Morgan and Eniola Funsho.
