Excerpt 1: Life, Lessons… My Path to Happiness by Abisola Biya

“Tolerating abuse of any sort is a sin to yourself and the stark opposite of self-love.

No one has the right to do this to anyone, Human beings are complex and sometimes abuse might be pardoned for different interesting reasons.

I heard the story of a lady who stayed in an abusive relationship even after many life-threatening episodes because she always remembered the good times and was stuck on how perfect he was when he wasn’t being abusive.

She didn’t live to complete the story. Being in both physical and emotional pain is toxic to your mind, body and soul.

There is no reason to even think twice about getting out of this for good.”
